What are Shoeboxes Tales?

Shoebox Tales are my personal way to tell a story. It's a kind of mixed media artwork located inside a transportable, light shoebox. The funny thing is that you can close it whenever you feel like. You can also bring it with you when you're traveling, and show it to your friends.

This shoebox is12 inches wide. I create Shoebox Tales in different sizes, up to 24  inches tall.

As you open the shoebox a new world is revealed, made of art dolls, illustrations, sequential art, photos and writing.  Each shoebox tells a portion of the whole story, technically a sequence in the storyline. By aligning the shoboxes into a row you can read the complete tale.

This is customizable art!

You can hang the shoeboxes by the wall as if they were paintings, or you can exhibit them on a shelf.
You can also pile and put the shoeboxes aside, if you happened to grow tired of them.

And you can replace your Shoebox Tale with a brand new one:)
